Welcome to the website of Llais, the monthly Welsh language community newspaper for the Swansea Valley.

We are pleased to announce that we are printing paper copies of the Llais once again – they can be purchased at Ty’r Gwrhyd, Pontardawe or by emailing papurbrollais@gmail.com to arrange subscription. You can also subscribe to receive a digital copy (see below).

Llais also includes articles on local nature, history, characters, schools, Welsh language events, Ty’r Gwrhyd Welsh Centre, Menter Iaith Castell-nedd Port Talbot, and columns by and for Welsh learners, young people and children. 

Llais was established in 1979 by a team of local volunteers to serve the Welsh speaking communities of the Swansea Valley. We are very grateful for all the support we have received over the years, which includes a grant from Welsh Government.
